It’s a proven fact that when we achieve a state of relaxation that our heart rate slows down and our blood pressure drops, this allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently and further, so the blood flow reaches our extremities.
Our fingers and toes are the first to suffer when we are tired, stressed or anxious as the blood vessels are restricted so that blood can be sent to the vital organs, lungs, heart, brain. As you relax the blood vessels dilate and the blood flows freely producing warmth.
A few years ago I worked a with an amazing lady, of 80 years of age, who was suffering terribly with Raynaud’s disease and the cold in winter. Someone mentioned Reiki to her so she booked a couple of treatments and was so enthralled by Reiki and how it helped she asked to be attuned to Reiki. She told me that every night before bed she would give herself a Reiki treatment and that it helped her stay warm for much of the night.
Previously, she was getting up several times a night to move around as it was the only way she had found to get the blood flowing back into her hands and feet.
So if you’re suffering from the cold, and 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 freezing here in the UK, consider having a Reiki treatment. You may surprise yourself!
